Welcome!

Welcome everybody!

This is my first blog about makeup EVER! I am pretty excited! ^_^

I am not a makeup artist or sth, I am just a huge HUGE fan of makeup from Mexico, who wants to give sth to you, guys! Specially since not everyone can afford very expensive cosmetics and not everyone can or have the same practice on makeup, I don't have too much either, but I will do my best to make you have fun! :D

I will also make reviews about products and tools. Also, there will  be a YouTube channel soon, with the tutorials and reviews ^^. All tutorials and reviews will be posted here. Tutorials will include pictures of the current look, the products used and extra information, same with the reviews ^^.

So have fun and I really hope you like this! :D

So, let's get started!

PURPLE SMOKEY EYES

I am a HUGE lover of purple color and I wanted to start with sth easy yet cute ^^

What I did was go straight to the eyes and prime them with a bit of concealer (I used Prestige Correctives in "Vanilla" is a cream concealer, but any other should do the job as well ) It also helps to eyeshadows to stick and last a bit longer, is not that great as the primer potions like Urban Decay's or M.A.C.'s Paint Pot or any other eye primers, BUT! is a good option for those who don't have any of these ^^

So, after applying a bit of concealer all over the lid, here are the steps:

** With any eyeshadow brush, take a bit of the pigment all over the lid and blend it up to your brow bone. Pat it more on the lid so the color will be a bit more intense, as the pigment is a bit iridiscent you will get a nice purple-ish shade with a pearl touch ;)

**Once you have the pigment all over your lid, with a smaller brush, it can be a pencil brush like the M.A.C.'s 219 which is the one i used, or any other brush that fits the outer corner of your lid, take a bit of a purple shadow (I used The Urban Decay's in "Flash"), any one that is more intense than the one you have already and pat it into the outer corner of your lid, if you do this with little circle movements you will get a better  result. Then slowly blend it into the crease area and below your brow bone, make sure the color is more intense in the outer corner of your lid.

**Next, with the same brush, use the other side of this and with an even darker shade of purple (in this case I used a mineralized duo by M.A.C in "Odd Couple".; down in the picture) take a bit of that and focus on the crease area, draw a line and then, with a little fluffy brush blend it into the other colors, next with the same fluffy brush, take a bit of any black eyeshadow (I used the Urban Decay's in "Oil Stick"; up in the picture) and pat it on the line you draw with the dark purple, and blend them; this will define your eyes and make the look deeper.

** Now, with an angle brush take a bit of any brown or bronze shadow (in this case I used the Urban Decay's in "YDK" which is also in the same palette that's in the picture above) and pat it on the lower lash line all over it, then with the same brush, take a bit of the darker purple shadow and pat it on the outer corner of your lower lashline, take the pencil brush and blend the colors together. Now with a flat brush, take a bit of any lighter shadow (not too light jus a bit more than your skin tone) and pat it under the arch of your eyebrow, this is to highlight the area and make the purples look more intense and will blend the colors even better so you won't have any harsh edges.

**Time to line your eyes!...with a black pencil eye-liner (I used the M.A.C. liner in "GraphitBlack") , line your water line and over the lower lash line, don't worry if it looks messy, now with your pencil brush smudge the liner and blend it into the colors you have in that area, this will make the difference, and make your eyes look bigger. Now with any black liquid or gel liner (I used the L'Oréal liquid liner in "Noir") line your eyes and make a little wing, we want a cat eye but not too strong, just to make the eyes look even bigger ;)

**Do your foundation and set it with any powder (I used the L'Oréal's True Match liquid Foundation in "Golden Sand" and the Maybelline's Color Stay 24 Powder in "Nude"), then do your brows with any eyeshadow that fits your natural brow color using any angle brush (I used the brown color that's in Jafra's Duo/Trio Palette, the Duo is in 'Portofino" and the lighter shadow is the one I used as Highlight under the arch of the eyebrows)

**Curl your lashes and apply your fave mascara (I used the Maybelline's Colossal Volume Express in Black)
-- This is optional: I used a bit of blush, but I don't use it very much, because my cheeks are naturally... like red-ish or peach-ish; so what I always do is only contour with any light brown color and highlight with a bit of gold/bronze pearls. It works for me because my skin is tanned naturally and gives this nice color to my skin. If you are pale, any peach blush should work for you.

**For the lips, I went for something dark, I like to try with different combinations, and usually I'd wear any peach or nude pink lipstick, but this time I tried something different and used this dark brown/purple-ish lip gloss by M.A.C. in "Wrong Spell' this is limited edition by the Venomous Villains line, and has this sparkly touch in red/purple very lovely and I just love it!...if you feel this is too dark for you, use any nude pink or peach color and gloss.

And you're done! :D

Hope you liked this! I know is a bit tiring to follow the instructions reading, but I promise I will make this better, I will move in a couple of weeks to a new house and I will have plenty of space and light to record the tutorials (this included) and post them in YouTube and here as well!

Comment and tell me what you think!

These are the pictures of the look!

Best Wishes and have fun!
Dana xx
